It caught the world by storm when My Little Ponies: Friendship is Magic took off with widespread popularity and fandom. However it wasn’t the fact of the size of the fanbase, but mostly who composed the fanbase. Through a weird twist of fate and marketing, MLP became a favourite of quite a few men starting the group known as ‘bronies.’ Mike Rugnetta  of the PBS Idea Channel on Youtube took this topic and ran with it in an interesting video which explains the phenomenon and what it means for what we consider masculinity.

From Not Literally comes one of the better Lady Gaga parodies I have seen to date. Apparently while Slytherin and Gryffindor duke it out, and Ravenclaw does… whatever it is Ravenclaw does… Hufflepuff dances it out to some bitchin’ tunes (yeah I said it). I know what group I would wanna be a part of hands down.  Made by the folks Not Literally, you can follow them on Facebook and their website. Go find them and show them love. ASAP.

Up until today I had never heard of Steve Love or any of his impressions, but now I realize what my life has been missing. Mr Love does a series of amazing, bang on, impressions of some characters from Game of Thrones. He has done plenty of impressions from Family Guy to music. Seriously, his Youtube channel is just delightful and should be followed. You can find his YouTube page here. What’s the best impression you can do?

Ok, so I gave writing a legitimate article the old college try and failed miserably. My workday took waaaay too much outta me and I’m kind of dead on my feet.

So instead, here’s a video by called “Lab Ratt” that shows how working for Aperture Laboratories  can drive you to insanity.

Enjoy.

Greetings retro junkies and welcome back S%#t I Found. This one’s gonna be an Edible Edition. Just a heads-up for you guys.

I don’t know what it is with Wonka candy, but, man. It’s like an entire company dedicated to preserving childhood memories.

The Setup

This is a leftover from back when the boss and I raided Boo-Bah-Lou2 near my place. When I spotted this long time and long missed favorite, I had to go for it. I absolutely needed to grab:

Laffy Taffy

Oh sweet snozzberries, the stretchy, fruity, chewiness...

Greetings Geeky Girls! Welcome back to Fangirl Friday! I apologize for what may be shoddy workmanship on this edition; it has been a crazy frakkin’ week. On the upside though, I’M A NEW AUNTIE! YAY!

Alright, on to the stuff you people actually care about now.

I figured by now everyone would be all rested up from the barrage I gave you before The Avengers came out, so, here is a new geek guy to ogle. And this one girls, this one’s Canadian!

Ladies. I give you:

While Lego has been doing a lot of franchise sets like Batman, The Avengers and other things of the sort, it is always nice to see them branch out and do new things. Picking up on the obvious supernatural theme in the media for the past few years, come the Monster Fighters. A rag tag group of steam punk inspired fighters who are trying to fight the forces of evil around the globe. Really, can you say no to a protagonist wearing a bowler hat. Especially when he’s named Rodney Rathbone. Check out the story trailer below.

TGIFF my geeky girlies and welcome back! I have decided this break from hot boys is still going on. You’ll forgive me, I’m sure. I’m too damn cute to hate anyway so no point in trying.

ANYWAY.

So I’ve been on an Etsy kick as of late and stumbled across this cute little gem of a thing. Now, I’m not sure if you’re all familiar with my deep-seeded love for the Portal franchise, but it’s a thing. A big thing. So you can understand my squee when I saw this.
