Greetings retro junkies and welcome back S%#t I Found. This one’s gonna be an Edible Edition. Just a heads-up for you guys.
I don’t know what it is with Wonka candy, but, man. It’s like an entire company dedicated to preserving childhood memories.
The Setup
This is a leftover from back when the boss and I raided Boo-Bah-Lou2 near my place. When I spotted this long time and long missed favorite, I had to go for it. I absolutely needed to grab:
Laffy Taffy
Oh sweet snozzberries, the stretchy, fruity, chewiness...
Was It Everything You Remember It Being?
Absolutely, and then some. The awesome part about this candy is it’s sooooo fruity! It’s not like taffy that’s kinda-sorta fruit flavored-ish. This stuff has serious zing and it’s amazing. It’s stretchy and fun and chewy but not OMG-this-is-stuck-to-my-teeth-and-never-coming-off sticky. Not only that, but every wrapper has a fabulously, horrendously lame joke on it. I mean, how is any of that NOT awesome?
So many flavors...such a huge tummy ache...sooooo worth it
Retro Recommendations
Go. Go now. Find it, eat it, rejoice in the wonder that is this confection. And then send me some; I can basically be bribed with it. I’m awful. Little tip though folks, don’t eat this stuff frozen. It’s nigh impossible.
