Good Wednesday all and welcome to this week’s edition of Breaking the 4th Wall. As always, I am your lovely host, Jess Lamarche (no seriously. Check my Facebook, my Twitter, any of it. I promise you I’m pretty!) and also as always is the crumbs in my butter, the hair in my soup, the “occupied” sign when I really have to pee, Paul Ungar.
I find delight in your misery. Is that really a bad thing? At least it’s a better hobby then… I don’t know… knitting Ms. Lamarche?
Oh, whatever. I just linked your name to a silly picture of you. So there. Also you smell like pretentious aftershave. On second thought, that’s kind of nice.
MOVING ON!
We got a little lazy and we tried to think of something quick and easy to review. We’re exhausted, we’re sluggish, our actual PAYING jobs are running us ragged as of late. Then I remembered that we had recently gotten sloshed together and ended up laughing our aft torpedoes off at this webcomic:
The Oatmeal by Matthew Inman
The Oatmeal is individual comics drawn and written by a Sriracha Sauce-loving man and his hatred for human stupidity and life’s randomness. No story, no sequence; just whatever the hell he feels like.

Jess: I love this comic. Simple art style that conveys SO MUCH FUNNY! I read this and I can barely breathe I’m laughing so hard. Mr Inman is a comedic genius when it comes to making the everyday inane freaking hysterical. For that I thank him. Not to mention, this man’s love for Rooster Sauce is something to be envied. Every person should be loved that way… *glare@Paul*
Paul: The Oatmeal is one of those comics which has you in stitches from the first time you look at it and makes you feel like a terrible person while doing so. Inman’s humour is delightfully edgy and twisted that you’ll be hooked in a panel or two. The art style is pretty simple, but the comic doesn’t call for a highly stylized design.

Final Verdict
Jess: I give this comic 5 Sriracha-drenched cat pencils out of 5. Always hilarious. All of the time.
Paul: The Oatmeal gets 5 out of 5 horrifying yet memorable pencils. This is one of the few webcomics that never misses its mark.

And that concludes yet another installment of Breaking The 4th Wall. Remember to check out The Oatmeal for yourself and tell us what you think in the comments if you so desire. Anyways, I’m off to hide the coffee on Jess and watch her quick decent into withdrawal. Never stops being funny. Strangely enough, completely legal… Oh, Canada.

Hey kids! If you have suggestions for comics you’d like us to review (which include your own if you have one. If you don’t offer it up, we’ll get around to you eventually. You cannot escape.) drop us a line at either hbhtjess@gmail.com or paul@here-halfway-there.ca OR send us a tweet @HBHT #B4W!
